Activity Stop
624,Front Street
Lahaina  96761

If you don't know that this is "the place with the pig," you're probably not up to speed on Maui trivia. To clarify, this activity office is the home of Aloha, a charming Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. She spends most of her time sniffing around and napping, but she can do tricks upon her master's command. While this is definitely a gimmick, it's a great one. It gets hordes of people in the door. Once in, they are fair prey for the smooth talking, ever-encouraging staff that peddle bargain-basement fly-drive tours, snorkel cruises and luaus. All gimmicks aside, a lot of the bargains are for real.

Ulua/ Mokapu Beach

(Northern Wailea)
Wailea  96753

This is an excellent beach for families. It is located just a mile down from South Kihei Road. Mornings here offer ideal snorkeling conditions, while afternoons are good for sunning and evenings feature gorgeous Maui sunsets. The beach itself is fairly small and tends to be crowded. However, it offers excellent facilities and easy access to a midday snack. As with many Maui beaches, be careful what you leave locked in your car; break-ins are common after dark.
